Sample reviews of a fictional restaurant
- Private dining
“We held our rehearsal dinner in the Loft for 26 people. Hana planned every detail, the brass lamps made the room glow and the four-course menu was a hit with every family member.”

Congratulations, Jenna. The Loft never looks better than with a happy wedding party in it. Teresa, chef and co-owner

“Threw my wife's 40th in the Loft. Hana handled the cake, the printed menus and the flowers from Wickham Street. Guests are still talking about the porchetta.”
Andre K.Yelp Reply from the restaurant
Happy birthday to your wife, Andre. Hana loved planning it. Teresa, chef and co-owner
- Large party
“Eight of us at the long table for a work dinner. The Tavola menu meant nobody had to negotiate the ordering, and the deposit came straight off the bill as promised.”

Thanks, Peter. The long table is built for exactly that kind of dinner. Julian, general manager
Questions
Private dining questions
Do you have a private dining room?
The Loft, upstairs under the mill's old roof beams, seats 9 to 28 (40 standing). The food and drink minimum starts at $1,800 Sunday to Thursday and $3,200 on Friday and Saturday. Buyouts of the whole restaurant start at $9,000. Send an inquiry and Hana replies within one business day.
What counts toward the food and drink minimum?
Everything your group eats and drinks: the menu, wine, cocktails, espresso and a celebration cake. Meals tax (8%) is added on top. If the total comes in under the minimum, the difference shows as one line on the bill.
How far ahead should we book the Loft?
Fridays and Saturdays in December and from May to October usually go two to four months ahead. Weeknights often have room with a few weeks' notice. Send an inquiry with a few dates and Hana will tell you what's open.
Can we bring our own cake or decorations?
Yes. Rosa can bake a celebration cake, or bring one from elsewhere and we'll plate it for you. Table flowers, place cards and photos are welcome; we ask for no confetti or glitter in the mill.
