Parking and bikes
The Cordage Mill lot behind the building is free after 5 PM and all weekend. There is two-hour street parking along Ropewalk Lane, and a bike rack beside the courtyard gate on Tanner Street.
Step-free access
The dining room, courtyard, bar and restroom are step-free through the courtyard gate on Tanner Street. The Loft is one flight up and the mill has no elevator; for a private dinner we can set your table in the heated courtyard instead.
Walk-ins and the bar
The 10 seats at the bar and the courtyard high-tops are kept for walk-ins every night, first come, first served. The full menu is served at the bar. On Fridays and Saturdays, reserve a table: the dining room is usually full from 6:30.
Kids and dogs
Children are welcome, with high chairs, crayons and a kids' pasta (butter and parmigiano, or tomato) for $12. Brunch and an early dinner are the easiest times. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the courtyard, and the water bowls are on us.
Gift cards
Gift cards come in any amount from $25 and never expire. Buy one at the host stand or by phone at (401) 555-0172; we don't sell them online. They work for dinner, brunch, the chef's counter and catering.

What are your hours?
Dinner Tuesday to Thursday 5 to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday 5 to 10:30 PM, Sunday 5 to 9 PM. Brunch Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 2:30 PM. We're closed on Mondays. The last online reservation is about 90 minutes before closing; the bar takes walk-ins until close.
Do you charge to reserve a table?
No card is needed for a table for up to four. Parties of five to eight hold the table with a $20 per guest deposit, and the chef's counter with $50 per guest. Deposits come off the bill on the night.
What's your cancellation policy?
Tables for up to four need no card. If your plans change, cancel online or call at least 2 hours ahead so we can offer the table to someone else. Large parties (five to eight) and the chef's counter hold their seats with a deposit that comes off the bill: cancel or change at least 48 hours ahead for a full refund; inside 48 hours, or if the party doesn't arrive, the deposit is kept.
What if we're running late?
We hold tables for 15 minutes past the reservation time. If you'll be later than that, call us at (401) 555-0172 and we'll do our best to keep it for you.
Can you seat a large group?
Parties of five to eight can reserve dinner online and share the family-style Tavola menu at $62 per guest: antipasti to share, two pastas, a main from the wood oven with contorni, and dolci. For nine or more we host you in the Loft, our private dining room upstairs (9 to 28 seated), at the room's food and drink minimum. Send an inquiry and Hana replies within one business day.
Is there a dress code?
No. Come as you are, from after-work jeans to an anniversary dress.
Can we request a table?
Yes. Add a seating request when you book (the front window, a booth, by the oven or the heated courtyard) and we note it on your reservation. The host seats by party size on the night, so we can't promise a specific table, but we try hard.
How far ahead can I book?
Online reservations open 60 days ahead and close an hour before the time you want. For tonight inside that hour, call (401) 555-0172 or try the bar.
