05The studio
Twelve reformers, one bright room
2,400 square feet on the second floor of an old printing works in Lyndale, with a mirror wall, big north windows and a floor laid for machines.
Floor plan
Three rows of four
The instructor's platform sits in front of the mirror, so everyone can see and be seen. Machines one to ten carry tower frames; eleven and twelve stay flat for jumpboard and box work. Spots are first come, and regulars tend to pick a favorite row.

Equipment
What's in the room
12 reformers
Studio-grade reformers with five springs each, adjustable footbars and padded shoulder rests. Every class has one machine per person.
10 tower frames
Ten of the twelve are combination units with a tower: push-through bar, roll-down bar and leg springs for Tower class.
Jumpboards and boxes
A jumpboard for every machine, sitting boxes for Sculpt, rings, small balls and light hand weights.
Private studio
A separate room with a reformer, a tower and a chair for private sessions, so privates never take a spot in class.
