What it is

A chemical peel, in plain words.

A chemical peel is a professional exfoliating solution applied for a set time, then neutralized. Light peels suit most first-time clients; deeper blends are planned carefully and usually as a series.

Your esthetician chooses the peel at your Skin Consultation based on your skin, recent sun exposure and the days you can set aside for any flaking.

Treatments are described for a fictional studio. A licensed provider determines whether a treatment is right for you at the consultation. Nothing on this site is medical advice.

At your consultation

Skin Consultation: 30 minutes, complimentary.

Recent sun, travel plans and the products you use, since some pause before a peel.

  2. 02

Which peel, how many and how far apart, so any flaking lands on days that suit you.

Questions

About chemical peel.

  1. Will my skin peel a lot?

It depends on the peel and your skin. Light peels often cause little visible flaking. Your esthetician explains what to expect for the peel they recommend.

  2. How many peels will I need?

That is decided at your Skin Consultation. Many plans include three or four peels, but some clients only book one.

  3. Can I have a peel before an event?

We usually recommend at least a week between a light peel and an event, and longer for deeper peels.
