Your first visit, step by step.
Booking takes a minute, the first drop-off takes about five. Here's everything to know before your pet's first groom at Paw & Polish.
Four steps, no paperwork at the counter
Step 1: Book online
Add your pet with breed, weight and temperament, then pick a groomer who works with that kind of pet. You see the price for your pet before paying the $25 deposit.
Step 2: Send vaccine records
Upload them in your pet parent portal or email them to us. We check every record before the visit, so drop-off takes two minutes.
Step 3: Walk your pet, then drop off
A short walk before drop-off makes the bath calmer. Bring any special shampoo, the leash and a phone number where we can reach you.
Step 4: Get the ready text
We text about 15 minutes before pickup. Your report card, with coat notes and an after-groom portrait, lands in the portal the same day.

Current records keep everyone safe
We check records before every visit, and the portal reminds you a month before anything expires. A pet with an expired record is rescheduled, with no fee for the change.
Dogs
- Rabies (1 or 3 year)
- DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo, parainfluenza)
- Bordetella (kennel cough), within the last 12 months
Cats
- Rabies
- FVRCP
What to bring
- A leash or a secure carrier (cats always come in a carrier)
- Vaccine records, if you haven't uploaded them in the portal
- Any special shampoo or medicated product from your vet
- A phone number we can reach all day
- Treats they love, if they have allergies to ours

A slower first visit
We add a few minutes to meet your pet, check the coat and skin and agree on the style before the bath. No extra charge.
Matting, honestly
Light mats are brushed out at $15 per 15 minutes. If brushing would hurt, we'll call and suggest a short, comfortable trim instead.
Puppies from 10 weeks
After their second round of shots. The Puppy Intro is 45 minutes of gentle handling, a bath and a lot of treats.
Seniors and special needs
Tell us about stiff joints, hearing or sight. Seniors get rest breaks and a mat on the table at no charge.
We groom; we don't diagnose. If we notice anything unusual about skin, ears or lumps, we note it on the report card so you can ask your vet.
