04How a project runs

From the first call to the warranty binder, in five steps

  1. 01Week 1

    Conversation and consultation

    A 20-minute call to talk through what you want, your budget range and timing, then a 90-minute visit at your home with a designer. You leave with honest ballpark numbers, not a sales pitch.

  2. 023 to 10 weeks

    Design and estimate

    Measured drawings, layout options and finish selections in our showroom. Grant prices the design as Good, Better and Best so you can see exactly where the money goes.

  3. 031 to 2 weeks

    Proposal and fixed-price contract

    A line-item proposal with allowances spelled out, a phase schedule and a progress billing plan. Once you sign, the price for the approved scope does not move.

  4. 044 weeks to 7 months

    Build

    Our own carpenters and crew leads, a project manager who sends a written update every Friday, dust walls and floor protection, and a project portal with photos, documents and invoices.

  5. 05Final week

    Walkthrough and warranty

    We walk every room with you, finish the punch list, hand over a binder of finishes and care notes, and stand behind the work for two years.

    The contract price covers the approved scope. Changes are written up and priced before any work happens.

    Every allowance (tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures) is listed with a dollar amount, so there are no surprises at selection time.

    Your project manager sends what happened, what is next and any decision we need from you.

  • Dust walls and clean sites

    Zip walls, floor protection and a swept site at the end of every day. You still live in your home.

What do your projects typically cost?

Kitchens start at $45,000 and most land between $65,000 and $140,000. Bathrooms start at $25,000; primary baths usually run $45,000 to $90,000. Basements start at $50,000, additions at $120,000 and whole home remodels at $150,000. Your estimate request gives you a rough planning range right away, and the design phase turns it into a fixed price.

How long does a whole home remodel take?

Most whole home remodels take 6 to 10 months from the first design meeting to move-in: about 8 to 12 weeks of design and selections, 3 to 6 weeks for permits, then 4 to 7 months of construction depending on scope. Your project manager builds a written phase schedule during design. Until then these are typical ranges, not a commitment.

Do you charge for estimates or consultations?

The phone call and the first in-home consultation are free. Detailed design and pricing is a design agreement, from $2,500 for a bathroom and $4,500 for a kitchen, credited in full to your construction contract when you build with us.

How does payment work?

Progress billing tied to milestones: 10% when the contract is signed, 25% when demolition starts, 25% after rough-in inspections pass, 25% when finishes are installed and 15% after the final walkthrough. Each invoice is in your project portal and can be paid by bank transfer or card.

Do we need to move out during the remodel?

For kitchens, baths and basements, almost never. We set up dust walls, protect floors and can help you plan a temporary kitchen. For whole home remodels, many families move out for the heaviest 6 to 10 weeks, and we plan the schedule around it.
